Bio
Ayah has spent her whole career breaking down boundaries between people and technology, first in hardware, then in education, and most recently in AI. She is the founder of littleBits, the platform that changed STEAM education through hands on learning, and the Cofounder of the Open Hardware Summit, the largest community of hardware enthusiasts, now 15 years running. In her current work she advises technology companies on open and transparent AI to enable reproducibility, accountability and equity.
A graduate of the MIT Media Lab, she was selected as one of the BBC’s 100 Most Influential Women, MIT 35 under 35 and her inventions have been acquired by the Museum of Modern Art. At home in New York City, her 3 year old son makes her regret spending a decade advocating for kids to be mischievous.
