Navigating Energy & Sustainability

A journey into the heart of the matter
in the Emirates.

A journey into the heart of the matter in the Emirates.

In January, 2024 Earth One will convene in the Emirates to connect and explore the theme of "oil and water." This immersive gathering will be situated at the Arabian crossroads of a rapidly shifting legacy fossil fuel economy, and a growing population that relies on the most advanced desert-based water supply systems in the world.

Against a profound undercurrent of needing to address the global water crisis where over 700 million people lack access to clean water, and a simultaneous need to address climate change which disproportionately affects those living below the poverty line, we will unite to navigate the complex interplay between energy sustainability, environmental stewardship and the technologies that have the power to address all of these challenges.

Through collaborative discourse, connection & trust-building, innovative solutions, and a shared commitment to action and regenerosity, we will chart a course toward a more resilient future. With its smart cities and advancements in sustainable technologies, the innovative land of the United Arab Emirates is the perfect backdrop to host us with fascinating local culture, the creative and artistic expression of its people, the cosmopolitan expression of Abu Dhabi, and the vast beauty of the Liwa oasis.

* note

The structure is meant to be a reusable, evergreen, asset and some labor time is allocated to design and implementation, which will not be needed in the future. For future iterations of this experience, we envision only needing ~ 50k to store, clean and refit the structure.
